Celebrate the holiday season with The Nutcracker. Fort Wayne Ballet is pleased to present this classic tale performed to Tchaikovsky's beloved score. This childhood adventure is sure to transport everyone in your family to a different time and place as you spend the evening with our young heroine, Clara, and the cherished toy - her Nutcracker. Enjoy the lavish sets and costumes while embarking on the magical journey to the Kingdom of Sweets where everyone from around the world celebrates the return of the Nutcracker Prince and Clara's triumph over the Mouse King. In our increasingly busy lives, it is vital we celebrate traditions which build community and family. Our community has made Fort Wayne Ballet's production of The Nutcracker one of these hallmarks year after year. Make our Nutcracker your Nutcracker.
Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Fort Wayne Children's Choir will join us for our opening weekend performances at 8pm on Friday, December 5, 2008 and Saturday, December 6, 2008.
If an evening is too late for your little ones, a matinee performance is the perfect opportunity for your family to enjoy the sweetness that is The Nutcracker. Our matinee performances begin at 2:30pm on:

If you are not able to attend the first weekend of December, we also have 8pm performances on December 12, 2008 and December 13, 2008.

Matinee performances include a special treat following each performance - the Sugar Plum Party. Parties begin at the conclusion of each matinee in the Ian Rolland Gallery. Enjoy sweets while you meet Clara and her friends! Get autographs and take pictures with selected members of The Nutcracker cast. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased with your performance tickets (seating is limited).
Nutcracker Parties
Sunday matinee performances include a special treat preceding both Sunday matinee performances - Nutcracker Party. Parties begin at 1:40 pm in the Ian Rolland Gallery. Enjoy sweets while Drosselmeyer tells the classic tale of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince! Tickets are $7 and may be purchased with your performance tickets (seating is limited).
Inclement Weather: Should Fort Wayne and/or surrounding areas experience inclement weather any day throughout our Nutcracker production, performances of The Nutcracker will still go on as scheduled. There will be no refunds for unused tickets as a result of inclement weather.
